Our Hybrid Model
Client-Funded Work: Through our Advisory, Planning, Capacity Building, and Implementation services, we deliver value to governments, NGOs, and the private sector, often through our specialised divisions such as Illumia Advisory Alliance and Vesselka Consult.

Mission-Funded Work: We reinvest our surplus and accept donations to support community projects and initiatives that no client can afford — such as developing local tourism markets, enhancing community livelihoods, or building capacity for marginalised groups.
This hybrid approach ensures both sustainability and inclusivity: clients benefit from affordable, high-quality services, while rural communities gain access to opportunities that would otherwise be out of reach.

Illumia Advisory Alliance, a new SRDI venture, will be a service that emphasises advisory and mentoring rather than traditional consulting. The initial focus will be on Africa and its vast potential by helping it move away from conventional donor-dependent consulting models toward sustainable, locally driven progress.

Since 2010, Vesselka Consult, a division of SRDI, has specialised in advisory services for the private sector, government, and donor-funded initiatives. Vesselka Consult is an outcome-focused service providing advisory assistance on policy reform, governance, EU integration, land administration, business process streamlining and sustainable tourism.

Illumia Advisory Set to Launch
SRDI will launch it's new service, Illumia Advisory Alliance, in January 2026.

The Alliance will focus its activities in selected African countries, offering advisory and mentoring that aim to challenge the donor dependent consulting models by drawing on the talent and energy of local experts. These activities will be advisory in nature, working alongside local experts to provide best practice guidance allowing them to create sustainable outcomes tailored to specific local needs.
